Dark side of the egg

One of the great benefits of our time is the explosion of free and almost-free education. Lynda.com provides outstanding instruction in virtually all aspects of photography,  much of it presented by the knowledgeable and engaging Ben Long. Among the photographic exercises he suggests is the task of making an egg appear threatening by the manipulation of shadow. I shot forty-two images, of which this is perhaps the closest to success. I’m going to try again, more methodically the second time. Some of the pictures please me, though, and I’ll post them in a gallery.
